Services at Our Churches

PLEASE NOTE: Napton and Stockton are sharing church buildings this month, on alternate Sundays, to save on energy consumption for heating – the name in bold is the place where that service will be held. The INFORMAL on 19th February will be held at Napton Village Hall – all other services as normal!

Key to the different types of services:

Holy Communion CW - follows the order and liturgy of Common Worship – an update of the traditional services introduced in 2000

Holy Communion BCP - follows the 1662 Book of Common Prayer Communion service

Family Service at Priors Marston (2nd Sunday) - is a service without Holy Communion using updated liturgy with well known hymns assisted by the choir – during both this service and the Holy Communion there is an activity for younger children in a separate room

Family Service at Priors Marston (4th Sunday) - is a less formal, interactive, child friendly service with some contemporary music

Family Service at Wormleighton - respects both the tradition of the village church and the desire to be welcoming and inclusive to families

Informal Worship at Priors Hardwick - offers an alternative to traditional patterns of worship – with a mixture of well known hymns and contemporary music and an emphasis on studying the bible together and developing our confidence in prayer

Informal@6 at Napton - a relaxed, informal monthly gathering from across the parishes - it includes music that is mainly contemporary and led by a growing music group, fellowship that seems to involve a lot of coffee and cakes, time to sharing our stories and to pray for one another and inspirational Bible teaching that is often given by visiting speakers

Sunday@11 - a regular morning service at Napton and Stockton that is informal, interactive and includes about 15 – 20 minutes when children meet in a separate group for teaching and activities appropriate to their age. Please note the change of date for the Informal at Napton this month from 3rd to 2nd Sunday

Story and Songis a new short activity for primary school-age children and parents or grandparents – open to anyone from all the parishes.
